The HLS Blueprint – Strategic Orientations (Level A) establishes a high-level framework to strengthen Switzerland’s Health and Life Sciences (HLS) Cluster through integrated research data infrastructures and services. Developed by the Working Group Blueprint and approved by the Strategy Council (StraCo), this document builds on insights from the HLS Cluster Analysis and outlines six strategic orientations to enhance the HLS ecosystem in Switzerland.
These strategic orientations focus on empowering a national data interoperability initiative, mandating key data portals to improve findability and accessibility, advancing the integration of AI and data science tools to foster innovation across the cluster, and aligning with international standards. It also proposes a governance model to support multilateral collaboration and shared commitments among RDI actors within the Cluster.
This Level A document offers high-level strategic guidance. In 2025, the Level B of the HLS Blueprint will be co-developed with stakeholders to outline specific steps for putting these strategies into action. Together, these documents aim to build a strong foundation for a cohesive and resilient HLS ecosystem.
